Private Tours

Tour Details

• For private cavern tours, we allow up to 20 persons on the boat. 
• Private tours are simply a reservation of the entire boat for the tour. You will see other tour boats while you are out on your own private tour, and the private tour status does not entitle you or your group to disembark the boat or take extra time for photos, etc. 
• Private tours will still strictly adhere to the regular tour guidelines, including timing. 

Reservation & Deposit

A two-week advanced reservation and a $175.00 non-refundable deposit is required for reservations. The non-refundable deposit must be paid at least two weeks in advance of the reservation date. This non-refundable deposit will be applied toward the balance due when the private tour is taken. The balance due must be paid in full prior to the tour departure, and must be paid in cash or by credit card (we do not accept personal checks).

If the party does not show up for the reserved private tour, the non-refundable deposit will be forfeited to Penn’s Cave to cover losses incurred associated with the private tour reservation. 

What to Expect

• The cave is approximately 52 degrees
• The cavern tour is given entirely by boat 
• The tour is approximately 45 minutes long

Accessibility

• The cave itself is a natural attraction that is not handicapped accessible. 
• There is a 350 foot, 45 degree incline followed by 48 steps that all visitors must descend to reach and board the boat, and then come back up after the cavern tour.

• For private farm-nature-wildlife tours, we allow up to 26 persons on the bus or, for less than 4 persons - in a jeep. 
• Private tours are simply a reservation of the entire bus or jeep for the tour. You will see other tour buses and/or jeeps while you are out on your own private tour, and the private tour status does not entitle you or your group to disembark the bus/jeep or take extra time for photos, etc. 
• Private tours will still strictly adhere to the regular tour guidelines, including timing.

What to Expect

• The tour is approximately 60 minutes long 
• Travels through the Penn’s Cave farm grazing pastures, mountain and forest areas which have been preserved as natural habitats for birds and other animals
• Guided by bus or jeep
• The ride may be bumpy at times as the bus/jeep does travel the mountain roads that have gravel and shale surfaces

Tour Availability

• Private farm-nature-wildlife tours are only provided from April 1 through November 30 (During Wildlife Park operating season.)

Accessibility

• The farm-nature-wildlife tour is not handicapped accessible.
• The buses are equipped with bench style seating. Depending upon the bus in service at the time of your arrival, there will be three or four steps that must be used to both enter and exit the bus.
