Picnics

Penn’s Cave guests are welcome to bring their own food and picnic or tailgate on our grounds.

During park operating hours, our guests may use the outside tables between the Visitors Center and the Cave House or the tables on either porch of the Visitors Center for their own picnics. Our guests are welcome to use their lawn chairs and/or throw blankets down on the grass areas by the parking lots for their own picnics or tailgates. Tables in the cafe are reserved for cafe customers only. All picnics must be packed up by 4:30 pm, and all guests must depart the park by closing time.

Please check-in at the ticket counter in the Visitors Center before setting up in an outdoor pavilion as most of the pavilions are already reserved from April through October.

Please keep in mind:

• Open flame fires, fire/charcoal pits or similar devices, portable propane units, deep fryers or any oil-based cooking/frying devices are strictly prohibited on the Penn's Cave grounds.
• Illegal substances and alcohol are not permitted. Any guests violating this policy will be asked to leave the Penn’s Cave Campgrounds.
